Name: Michael Burnham
Door: RNG please

Canon: Star Trek: Discovery
Canon Point: The end of the season 2 finale, as Michael goes through a wormhole in her time travel suit in order to go through to the future.

Age: 31
Appearance: Michael is a Black woman of medium height who keeps her hair fairly short at this canon point. She has angular features and keeps in shape with CQC training and working out.

History: Star Trek: Discovery on Wikipedia
Personality:

+ dutiful + Michael is, first and foremost, a person bound by duty. She feels immense responsibility for her past actions that have turned out to be mistakes, and she takes the responsibility upon herself for these mistakes in a way that borders on self-punishment. For example, after her mutiny on the Shenzhou, she tries to refuse to serve on the Discovery, expecting to spend the rest of her life in Starfleet prison. Lorca, the captain of Discovery, convinces her otherwise, however, and she begins her service there despite the fact that she’s blamed herself entirely for the war starting and for Georgiou’s death. This martyr/savior complex leads her to put herself in harm’s way for others time and time again, a point that Spock lambasts her for bitterly when they encounter each other again.

- saviorism - Michael carries through with the plans she creates in spite of her own well-being, knowing (or at least believing) that sacrificing herself in the interests of others will lead to their salvation at her expense. When she decides to mutiny on the Shenzhou it’s because she believes the Klingons will attack if she does not become a martyr to Starfleet’s cause, and because she believes that Georiou will be the one who is sacrificed if she doesn’t take action.

- impulsivity - Michael is terrible about carrying through with her own agenda without telling anyone what she’s thinking and before anyone has had a chance to talk her through the consequences of her actions. Again, her mutiny on the Shenzhou is the prime example. She attacks and incapacitates her captain because Georgiou rejected her theory about how the Klingons would operate in their situation. She did this despite knowing that if she got caught everything would go sideways.

- repressed - Although by her canon point this is improving, what Michael learned by being raised by Vulcans is that emotions are bad and wrong and that they will always betray you. For this reason she attempts to act like a Vulcan and see everything through logic, and represses her own emotions when they get in the way. Although this is not the lesson that Sarek and Amanda meant to impart via her upbringing, it’s what she came away with. When she goes to rescue Spock, who is having a psychotic break, she tries her best not to become embroiled in her emotions toward her foster brother having such symptoms. She tries to see his problems through the lens of logic, upsetting Spock. It takes her being willing to see his problems through a lens of emotionality before he is willing to forgive her.

Powers and Abilities: Michael has no powers, as such. However, she is a good hand-to-hand fighter, a good shot, and has leadership skills (despite her tendency to take things on herself).
Inventory: At Michael’s canon point she has only the ‘Red Angel’ time travel suit and wings on her person.
