I will tell you what I can while still adhering to the Temporal Prime Directive. Nero was a Romulan who was witness to a great tragedy of his people. Enraged, he travelled back to an alternate timeline through a black hole and altered the course of the galaxy from that point forward. I am of that altered universe and, I suspect, you are of the original, what we have come to call the "Prime" universe.
